Superglue.. URGENT!?

Question

Okay, so I ran out of nail glue (I was putting on fake nails cos I was bored) and so I put superglue instead of nailglue on the nail and then put the nail on my nail. First is it reallyyyyyyyy bad and what could it do to my nail/skin, and secondly is there any way to get it off?

It wont hurt you, I promise. It may burn a bit.. but it won't do anything unhealthy to you like give you cancer. Have you ever heard of liquid stitches? They're basically super glue... so they use super glue at the hospital in place of stitches... you've got nothing to worry about. If you're still worried, you can use nail polish remover and it will dissolve through the super glue. No harm done :)

No worries. Superglue was originally designed for use in emergency situations to mend wounds and stuff. It will eventually wear off your skin.

I am not sure whether this would work on your nails but I do know that Nail Varnish Remover will take sticky substances off most things so you could try putting it in asmall cup with enough liquid in to cover your nail and soak it for about 5-10 mins

Super glue won't hurt you. In fact, in medical emergencies, it is sometimes used to seal a cut until medical help is available.

You can remove superglue with hairspray, nail polish remover, or rubbing alcohol.

It's not going to hurt you but you could just soak it in hot/warm water for awhile if you don't want the nails anymore.

haha, i freak out too when it comes to superglue on me, but relax and don't pull it off hardly.

Just dip your finger where you have the nail in acetone. Where you can get in a hardware store or local grocery.

Loosen it by trying to wiggle itt.

It could leave the residue glue stuff like that you scratch off to remove.

But be smarter next time and superglue has its name for a reason.

You wont get cancer.

It could possibly damage your nail or skin depending where it was on :O

You will need to soak your fingers in acetone fingernail polish remover to get the nails off. As far as the super glue? It may take something like mineral spirits to remove that... It should have it on the bottle as how to remove.... Then it would probably be a good idea to give yourself a good hot manicure!!
