Superman tower of power?

ok i know that girls legs were cut off by a cable but what i cant figure out is how. i mean i heard 3 different stories of how it cut her feet off. the first one is that the wire snapped and whipsawed and cut her feet off. and the other is that the wire wrapped aroud her legs and ripped them off.and the last one is that when the wire came crashing down after it snaped it cut her feet off. So which one is it?
