Supernatural Science?

call me crazy but i believe in the supernatural, and i remember that in science class a while back we were learning about String Theory. My bud said that this could explain "ghosts" or other supernatural events.

So my question is:

Does anyone know of any other scientific explinations for supernatural events?

  1. Ball lightning - explains a lot of UFO type things.

The human brain is so complicated that I'm sure we could explain most supernatural events if we knew how our minds work better.

  2. Your bud is using a string to pull your leg.  By definition, a supernatural event is one which has no natural explanation.  Science is capable of investigating many claimed supernatural phenomena.  Most were either irreproducible, or were explained by natural phenomena.  Whether any remain is controversial.  String theory is unlikely to offer an explanation.

  3. The human genetic structure isn't alone in our bodies, there is another independent genetic structure living within our cells, mitochondrial DNA has a separate genetic structure from our own DNA, some scientists believe that when life on earth was first forming mitochondrial DNA combined with another genetic organism in symbiosis to create a stronger organism as a whole, this organism would eventually evolve into humans over the course of billions of years, mitochondrial DNA is basically the batteries that keep our cells alive and some believe that our mitochondria is subject to mutation/evolution just as our own bodies have mutated/evolved over the span of millions of years, who is to say that supernatural/deities beings might not just be humans with highly evolved mitochondrial DNA that lets them tap into great energies locked inside our bodies, humans even now are capable of incredible feats of strength, most of which is attributed to adrenaline but supernatural strength might just come from mutated mitochondria within our own bodies.

  4. I farted

  5. The strangest part of the question is the superposition of the words "supernatural" and "science".  Science, by definition, deals with the natural world and attempts to explain what we see in the natural world by using facts about nature.

Therefore, science precludes anything that is not of a natural origin, and therefore science has nothing to do with anything that is supernatural.

And by the way, cosmic strings theory would deals with the structure of matter.  Ghosts don't seem to fit anywhere withing the theory.

  6. O" Divine...

Just a two word question, but to answer the same with an ontological perspectives... it would involve the entire domain of Knowledge to be explored by the Product Trinity at its Work in the Divine'Workshop of Cosmos.

Laconically, the Cosmic format is the Reticulation 'web-like' that binds and weaves all of Cosmos in strands of 'Vibrational Energy' which we generally call it CONSCIOUSNESS.

Within the purview of this Vibrational Energy been guaged and guided by the Seven dinstinct Rays... We humans are generally attuned to see only the Visible Light Rays of these 'Vibrational Energy', which is a composite of the Photons... in part, as been understood by us in language of Colours. Similarly, few are attuned to see below this Visible Rays in filed of Infra-red Rays... aliking many animals, who can see in dark i,e, in Night Time too. There are Others also who are attuned to see beyond this Visible Rays of average frequency, in the field of Ultra-voilet Rays...

Now, to be in pertinent to your Q' ... please note that there is all that has been Named and Mentioned in a format of Words. In simple language, All that has a name & been mentioned anywhere / anytime it does exist as a extant, but our Perceptives are at mercy of our so-said attunement to gain an Objective Knowledge for the so-said Subjective Entity. Unless until, we in question are not attuned within ourselves, to see an object of concern with our perceptive tool [eyes] till then all said & learnt is in soup of qualm & quandry.

To see a Ghost or any other Objective Supernatural... all at later stage to belive into it as an Oragnised Knowledge [which we happen to call it as Science], the concerned one must be attuned to that Vibrational Energy that rules the existence of the Ghost or any other Q's of your intent as Supernatural Entity as an Extant, then only the seer would claim within self to declare that "...YES, these are REAL"... "they do Exist"... and later on an APLLIED UNDERSTANDING, with an acrane' prudence as an esoteric Subject to each learneds concern, all such SUPERNATURAL Entity and/or Activities would be addressed as A SCIENCE.

Meantime, the plenitude of people from the common streams will always sound that this all is not real... because of their Ignorance and /or Obscurity.

Through World of Oxford Dictionery, please do endeavour self to ehance your perspective Knowledge through search of the allied and varied meaning of words that starts from GNOSIS [ a genesis of Agnosis, Diagnosis, Prognosis] GNOME [ para'physic of Genome] , GENIE [para'physic of Gene] ... and such orientational vent & windows that can graduate yourself further to level of Realization & Enlightenment.

  7. There's a book called Supernature by Lyall Watson that has some interesting insights.  Mostly pseudo-science, and very outdated, but insightful and provocative.

  8. I don't think you're crazy but I do think you're very confused.

String theory has nothing to do with ghosts or any other "supernatural" event. That connection exists only in your very vivid imagination. In fact, string theory has fallen out of favor recently. Are you familiar with loop theory?

The link below explains a bit about loop quantum theory for the lay reader.

  9. Science doesn't explain superstitions, because there's no evidence they are true. There's no such thing as supernatural. String theory isn't about ghosts in any way. You need smarter buds than the one who told you such "balle" nonsense.
