I have recently moved to Australia and have no previous driving experience. I have taken a few driving lessons and am able to drive now.But to get the P's it is a requirement to do 120 hrs, unfortunately I dont know anyone in this country who could help me do that. And its too expensive if all the hours are done at the instructors rate.

Any suggestions?? I live in western suburbs of Sydney.

  1. find a friend, or someone u work with, or just go backroading it by yourself

  2. I dread to do it, but you could ask a uni student to help.  beware, some of them are terrible hoons, and know less than you.  The system is not ideal, but serves the general purpose of getting young drivers better experienced before they get a license, and ensuring some reasonable competency improvement after they have one.

  3. Do you attend a local church?  Someone there should be able to help you out.  If not how about someone at work?

Do you own a car?  People are much more likely to want to "supervise" you if you are driving your own car rather than asking them to let you drive their car as well!
