How to manage this areana.I am a supervisor and I have poor manager and un copetant staff.Please gude me.

  1. Start by dealing with your manager. He is poor at the job - still, ask him what it is he wants from you. How can you make his week better/easier. Does he want you to provide reports and status? Keep the staff moving the right way? Always switch people to the current urgent goal? Find out his priority, and make it work, if possible.

    When the boss is happy, you will have more time and leeway to work on the staff. Get yourself involved in the hiring process, so replacements are better than the people who leave. Give your people a chance to gripe to you, even if you can't fix their problems.

    Try to give positive feedback. Try to give people hints on improving what they do. They do not have to do things your way, but they need to get them done, and on time. Are your people too pissed off to work with you? What can you change yourself to get them more interested in the job?
