These are some questions I need help answering. They go along with the mockumentary, Supervolcano, but you need not to have seen the movie to answer some of these questions.
1. How much volcanic ash does it take to collapse a roof? Dry? Wet?
2. Why do some scientists believe that an eruption at Yellowstone might be impossible in the next 1000+ years?
3. Why do some scientists believe that large earthquakes are now improbable at Yellowstone today?
4. When was the last supervolcanic eruption and where was it? What happened to the humans on the planet at that time?
5. When volcanoes erupt, they eject massive amounts of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere. What does the sulfur dioxide do to the planet?
6. Name and describe five things you could do to prepare for a supervolcanic eruption.
7. The stickiness of magma depends on what two properties?
8. Name 5 destructive things that ash can do to organisms, the ecosystems and/or property.
