  1. Try this one, it is the granddaddy of the superyachts.

    Paul Allen's Octopus.

  2. I can't imagine even a Mega Yacht displacing 3,000 gt.

This has a list of Luxury Yachts by length, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mot...

This site lists the largest sailing yachts and you'll note the largest at 92.9m, is only 1,500 gt  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_lar...

Yachts from 23 metres (82 feet) and up qualify for design awards from the Superyacht Society, [2] but at the bottom end of that scale yachts will not necessarily be crewed and many set the minimum length for a superyacht considerably higher. A 45 to 50 metres (148 to 164 feet) yacht, the smallest with a generally accepted claim to superyacht status, will usually be a three decker with cabins for 10-12 guests. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxury_yach...

  3. www.searay.com has numerous superyachts. A superyacht is considered a yacht 50 ft. or more.

  4. Sorry MBouLG23 but Sea Ray makes yachts and has no "super yacht" in it's line.

The term "super yacht" is not truly defined as to at what size a yacht of this type would fall under. If one searches the net on this topic the general consenus is a yacht of 100' or more is considered a super yacht or mega yacht. After that they now are calling yachts "giga" or "tera." Bottom line is that it's a marketing term and there is no real rule of thumb as to what qualifies as what...

start by going to the link below to see what is currently under construction as the largest privately owned yacht...the "Platinum"

    http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/specia...

once "Platinum" is commissioned she will replace "Al Salaman" (at 456' 10") as the current largest privately owned yacht. Number 2 right now is "Rising Sun" at 452' 6" and Paul Allen's "Octupus" is #3 at 414'.
