Support Anti-Real ID?

I support those state choices to nullify the Real ID. The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. Therefore, the states CAN and WILL decide. DHS has forgotten they serve us - and the notion that we should just "grow up" is indeed arrogant and preposterous.

All citizens who represent transpartisan, nonpartisan, privacy, consumer, civil liberty, civil rights, and immigrant organizations are concerned about the increased threat of counterfeiting and identity theft, lack of security to protect against unauthorized access to the document's machine readable content, increased cost to taxpayers, diverting of state funds intended for homeland security, increased costs for obtaining a license or state issued ID card, and because the REAL ID would create a

  1. I think it should be stomped out. It's a really bad idea. Plus, they already share that info in some ways already.

  3. Virginia is implementing it.  I'm all for it if we kick out every single illegal as part of the program (which I know they are not).

    The government already has your entire financial and criminal history in their own databases.  They can access most other databases without a court order.  

    Under the current system, all the problems outlined are occurring.  I need a better argument than those presented to change my mind.
