Support groups for moms with kids with phych diagnosis?

my 9 year old son has been diagnosed with ptsd (post tramatic stress disorder) i am having a hard time not feeling guilty. i also dont really know how to help him besides taking him to his dr apts sometimes i just watch him sleep and cry because i wish there was something more i could do.

NAMI has a family to family support group.  It is http://www.nami.org  I am bipolar and my mom took the class.

I am sorry about your son.  I also have ptsd.  Please try not to feel guilty.  You do need to take your son to the psychiatrist and counsellor.  You also may want to get a counsellor for yourself to help you know how to work with your son.

Being a loving parent goes a long way.
