I have been coming across this defense of Palin for some time now, that her executive experience is more than that of Obama and that means she is more qualified.
For the sake of argument, let's say that is true. But then, wouldn't that also mean that she has 2 more years of executive experience over McCain as well; and therefore McCain and Obama are equal on experience with zero experience?
And wouldn't that leave us with only judgement as our criteria to judge Obama and McCain on?
If so, how would you explain McCain siding with Bush 90% of the time? Because one must point out that Bush is at least as bad for Conservatives as he is for Liberals.
He spends like crazy, he is in the pocket of Big Business (usually at the expense of the Middle Class and Small Business), he is a warmonger (but has no war sense), and has expanded federal government power to levels unseen before (even under Clinton and Carter).
And McCain supported him in all of that. So he has shown no judgement, whether you look at it from the stance of the Conservative or the Liberal.
If Senate experience doesn't count, then what we are left with makes McCain completely incompetent for the job of the Presidency, doesn't it?
So why should I go with the Republican ticket? Because while I agree Palin is worth something, it would appear McCain is completely incompetent for the job.
And I know some Democrats like to maintain that McCain is near death, but I don't think he's close enough to warrant giving him a chance at the Presidency.
Oh, look at that. You guys spent so long trying to convince all of us that he is okay and will be able to make it, so his age shouldn't matter; and now you need it to matter and you need him to be near death. How ironic.
