Supporting a Cause! Help!?

HEy So, Im 13 and I really want to get involved with a charity or volunteer for something. I live in wichita so it has to be around there, but does anyone know somewhere I could help at? I want to do something more than just donate some money. I want to have to go there or do something weekly. Also, if have some great ideas for things to raise money, I just don't know what to raise money for! Thanks! -Aleah

If you're into animals, volunteer at an animal shelter or therepeutic riding center.  You can donate money to the ASPCA, or you can shop for pet supplies and donate them to a nearby shelter.

If you want to help the elderly, go to a nursing or retirement home and meet with one or two lonely people.  They'll love your company, and you'll also have lots of fun.

Volunteer at a nursing home.  A lot of these people hardly ever get visitors.  They love it when kids and young adults come in because they miss their grandkids and great grandkids.  There are all kinds of things you can do there.  Call and ask to speak to the activities director.  Here are a list of some in your area.
