Supporting yourself while on visiters visa in Scotland?

I know you must prove you have enough money to support yourself during your visit, but how much money are they actually talking about?

  1. It's impossible to put an exact amount on that simply because it's directly related to your lifestyle, how much you spent. Some people may be able to survive on a thousand pounds for weeks while others spent that in a day (extreme example to make the point).

    It means precisely what it says enough to support yourself, as little or as much as that specific person needs


  2. They rarely ask.  Are you talking about a working holiday visa?  They like you to have 2000 pounds for that, otherwise, take what you feel you will need, but don't take cash, and don't be tricked into changing your money for scottish money, because bank of england notes are just as acceptable there.
