You could get to where you need to fast by jet, but it would cost you a few months pay

OR

you could pay A LOT less (say a couple week's salary) and take 3 days to get there via passanger AIRSHIP (assume said airship is of a high tech variety... think, high tech, very large Goodyear Blimp).

Which would you take?

(historically airships have shown that they can move people and cargo much cheaper than fixed wing airliners or cargo planes).

DO airships have a new bright future?

  1. fuel prices will continue to go through the roof so nothing to suppose and the airship industry will go nowhere. like these easy ones.

  2. I don't see them making a comeback people want to travel fast and conveniently. If I wanted to save money and didn't care how long it took for me to get somewhere I would probably just take the train.

  3. Thats highly unlikely as the Bush is soon going to be out of the Oval office, with his "cruel policies" thats has been the major culprit of the recent hike in fuel prices.

I hope the Future president will make some wise decisions and fix it up.

But again for the sake of argument if one has to make a decision it would largely depend on financial situation and how important or soon one has to reach the destination.

If I can afford to, I'd defiantly choose an Aircraft over an Airship, regardless of the urgency to reach at the destination. How would like to float around in the air? At least not me!

  4. I don't think so just because of the unpredicrability of the weather.

  5. I wouldn't buy stock in them, know what i mean.
