  2. get off the throttle, turn the wheel in the direction you want/need to go, and DON'T TOUCH THE BRAKES!

    using the brakes may lock them and can worsen the problem.  you want to let the tires spin at the same speed as you are moving.

  3. Turn in the direction of the slide.
