suppose you have two containers, one wide and the other narrow.Both have upright sides.you keep them together out in the rain.would the height of the water collected in both containers be the same, or different ? why?

  1. The same as the  amount of rain falling on the surface area will have the same surface area to volume ratio in both containers.  rain is measured in inches that is  volume per surface area!
