McCain picks a beautiful, articulate, pro-life, gun-toting (lifetime NRA member and avid hunter), Washington beltway outsider (*way* outside, as in Alaska) "anti-Hillary" /anti Cindy Sheehan (because she's proud of her son going to Iraq) as his running mate! Obama is finished!

  1. Her pro-life credentials and NRA membership do not impress me at all.

Her maverick independence, reform agenda, strong record of fighting corruption in her own party, etc. are VERY impressive.

At last!  A  politician who does more than talk about change.

  2. The will complain because that is the only way to get in.They can't say things are good.I wouldn't doubt if Soros starts funding Alquieda to make things look bad in Iraq. That is how desperate they are! They will stop at nothing. The Good thing about Palin is they have to go at her with Kid Gloves or they will be perceived as what they are.Traitors and Hypocrites!

  3. Gov. Palin is hardly "anti-Hillary", if anything, McCain's choice of Palin suggests that he is staking his chances of victory on the belief that a woman on the GOP ticket can win over significant numbers of disgruntled former Hillary Clinton supporters to McCain's side. This seems to be the central and perhaps only basis for Palin's selection. All I can figure is that McCain's campaign has some numbers we're not seeing, some inside polling which shows Obama underperforming with women and former Hillary supporters, and McCain saw a huge opening and selected Palin at the last minute. Otherwise, I don't see why he would make such a spur of the moment decision, going in the last few days before 8/29 with someone not on his original shortlist. (Romney, Pawlenty, Ridge, and Lieberman) It must have been relatively recent data that they obtained. Again, I don't have any inside information, this is just an educated guess on my part I guess.

  4. I'm not complaining.

    Pat yourself on the back.

  5. Some would agree with you

  6. Not me.  McCain will solidify his conservative base and lose the important independent vote.  Obama will win the election.

  7. The great thing is that our young, vibrant, good-looking candidate has some substance to her!

  8. And that's why McCain is down another three points after picking his running mate?  McCain called Bush "dumb as a tree stump" in 2004.  I think it was a case of the pot calling the kettle black.  McCain chose Palin because she is missing certain anatomical parts, thinking this will reel in the disenchanted Hillary supporters.  Yet Palin stands for everything that Hillary is against.  I see McCain's political career circling the drain.

  9. Who is Sara ,Palin She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears a

mcsAME/pALIN- staunch anti-choice religious conservatives. THey are aGAINST global warming and  commiTED TO to Big Oil.

In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy. And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country.

  12. smart move on his part, I've been fairly apathetic about this election, but McCain might have just gotten my vote, because Palin is standing up for things that most of the other cannidates won't touch

  13. You bet your butt he's finished. And I am so excited to see what the futures has in store for all of us Americans. McCain/Palin 2008.

  14. I'm not complaining either.  'Cause it isn't the Dems funeral, it's the GOP's nail in the coffin.  You are mistaken...the GOP is finished because of this...Remember Dan Quayle and George H.W. Bush?

  15. Yes!  I believe you're exactly right!  He knows it as well.

    Obama is finished!

  16. Hey, Obama tried. Biden had his teeth capped and got a hair transplant to try to make himself more attractive.

  17. Who is complaining. The ball is in our court. Thank you McCain.

    Ingrid

  18. Yep. Obama is finished indeed. Actually he was finished a long time ago. He can not win due to him losing critical states in the electoral college. Even the Obama camp has acknowledged it will be hard to win the Presidency. If you factor in Ralph Nader, which a lot of polls do not, Obama is losing swing states by as much as 10%

Sorry libs, Obama can't win and he won't.
