Build a refinery in your back yard, with enough money you will be done in about 15 years, by then the demand will be doubled and you'll be too late to fix the problem.  Blowing up refinery's, protests, expensive wars with oil barons, only give them more excuses to raise the prices. Come up with a more realistic solution, or get used to riding a bicycle.

Right now we are at a point where the supply of oil can barely meet the rapidly growing demand for fuel and energy. The crisis is already here. We have let our governments fiddle while the flood  waters rose. Now we are up to our collective butz in a flood. Get used to high prices and a quantum change in how we do things re transportation. By the way, what kind of global strike are you referring to, and just how or why do you think it would help bring down fuel prices? I think such a foolish thing would only make the situation worse, and probably start WWIII.
