Kuban Krasnodar’s general director has poured water on the reports suggesting that the Russian Premier League club are likely to part company with Krasnozhan
Kuban Krasnodar will now search for a new head coach after sacking Yuri Krasnozhan, who joined the Russian Premier League club after replacing Romanian tactician, Dan Petrescu, at the helm.
Though the termination of Krasnozhan’s current agreement has not yet announced, the Russian outfit have reportedly agreed on a lucrative amount of compensation for the termination of the contract.
The decision to remove the coach, under whom Kuban confidently held a stake holders meeting at Kuban stadium’s office, was accepted by Krasnodar’s president, Alexander Tkachev, and the club’s general director, Suren Mkrtchyan.
This decision was reportedly taken by the shareholders of the club along with senior official, Sergey Doroshenko.
News in Russian media suggests that Krasnozhan was sacked after he asked the club’s management to provide him sufficient funds to make winter reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.
If speculations are to be believed, Kuban will try to convince Yuri Semin to return to the Russian championship.
And there is little arguing to the statement that Semin, who began his coaching career in September 1982 after taking an early retirement from his playing career, won plenty of silverware wherever he went in his managerial career.
The former Dynamo Kyiv man won four Russian Cups, two Russian Super Cups, Soviet Cup and two Russian Premier League titles before going to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032.
But Mkrtchyan has denied such rumours, confirming that the Krasnodar-based club is not likely to part company with the 49-year-old Russian manager.
“I will not comment on the information until it is a fact. I do not need to explain the rumours. I have not conducted any meeting with Doroshenko for Krasnozhan’s dismissal. If this was the case, I would have confirmed it.” The
33-year-old Russian International was quoted as saying.
Apparently, Andrei Talalayev will serve the club as their manager until January 8 and the future prospects of the quartet of other specialists who came to the club along with Krasnozhan are yet to be known.
