Suresh Raina - Test class ??

Y was Raina not selected in the squad ???.................i believe tht he is "the next big thing ".............he is a classy left hand bat,with elegant and stupendous shots and natural gift of timing........and also his performance in asia cup ??.............Still Rohit Sharma "The Waste" was selected into the squad

He shouldnt be included in the test side for at least one or two years

because of inexperience and not constant form.

May be, Raina will replace Dravid and Rohit will replace Sachin. May be, Yuvraj will replace Sourav. May be Pathan will replace Laxman in batting.

Future test team may be: Sehwag, Gambhir, Raina, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, MS Dhoni (C), Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma.

rohit sharma was selected but never got a chance to play....same would've happened to raina..i beleive raina should show some good form in the odi series, wait till he gets selected for the tests

  Suresh Raina is a good test material.I am sure he will come good and grab the oppotunity with zeal.Plus points,left hander,wonderful fielder at any spot.It is high time he be given adequate opportunity before branding him as 'ODI' material only.

First of all let me tell you Rohit Sharma is the not a Waste.  Remember the Finals in Australia when Sachin Scored a superb 100, it was Rohit at the other end supporting him.  Rohit played so many useful innings and he is the most talented among the young players.

Raina is also a good player and I think this is the time for selectors to get rid of Gangulys, Dravids and Laxmans out of Test Team after this SL tour.

i think he should be given a chance but not by removing rohit! i believe that in test cricket, the juniors should be shuffled again and again so that all of them get many chances to play with the experienced seniors!this way they'll improve and ultimately India will benefit in tests as well as ODIs!
