Surf So Cali?

Question

how is the surf in october for southern cali?

planning on going to san diego for the month of october, and want to make sure the wave are are not usually flat then.

Last year I went surfing through September up unitl Oct 27. The tides were harsh, and the waves were really strong. It wasnt that cold until they end of Oct. but you can take your wet suit.

it really doesnt make a differance what month you go i think you can get some good waves if you go to the right places

dude i live in laguna beach. no matter what time of day, week, month, or year, the surf is always amazing here.

California is known for its consistency. The only semi-flat period is the summer. Its not unlikely to experience an occasional flat spell, but you should have plenty of waves during October.

October is one of the better months.

We generally get strong southern hemisphere swells with Indian Summer weather.

San Diego is not best for southern swells.

Best bets are Blacks and north San Diego county.
