Surf board size help?

hi i am 13 and need to know what size surf board i should get i weight 10.4 stone and my height is about 5.10

thanks also i am only looking for a cheap board as i am not going to be surfing every day. plz could some one tell me the best place to buy a cheap board that wil last me for a few years

ok. well you didnt say what you wanted to do with the board (airs floaters, just gliding) if you want to do airs and floaters and cutbacks, you should get a fish or shortboard. for the size, i would say somewhere around 6'6" because that is a great size but make sure it is thick enough. for just gliding around on the water, i say get a funboard or mini-mal or a longboard. they are great to ride. i would say get something around 7'3" to 8'. for the best results, go to a surfshop. they can get you the right stuff. and never get a cheap pop out board like a bic or something. they are not good and made by a shaper. hope this helps.

Well, i'm 5'6 1/2 and im riding a 7'6. If your a beginner, i'd still get a 8 ft foam board cause the longer the board the easier it is to stand up and get your balance. I learned on an 8ft and it was easy for me to pick up. I don't recommend you get on a short board until you know what your doing. (just a tip, you probably know that your doing)

You should go to a local surf shop and ask them. Maybe get measured and ask them what they think is best.

some of these boards are really nice. and the cheapest i've  found so far. also, if you have a sports store nearest to you, they should sell it. to find a sports store near you, if you dont know of any, go on google.com, then maps, and then find business. then just type in sports stores and that should help. good luck on finding a good board

I strongly suggest going to Costco and buying their 8ft wavestorms. They come with a traction pad + leash, and cost only $100. + will last forever.
