Question:

Surface Piercing vs. Microdermal?

I am set on getting my clavicle (collar bone) decorated with some new jewelry.

I just can't decide between a surface piercing or a microdermal anchor.

Permanence is not an issue with me. I have 11 other piercings and with out them I would not be me, I don't plan on ever getting rid of my piercings. So the fact that Microdermals are permanent doesn't really apply to me.

Which would you suggest and why?

  1. i would go with the micro dermals, they have a less of a chance of migration that a normal surface piercing would, and i like the fact that the mirco's are seriously PERMANENT

  2. definitely microdermal. If you're not worried about the permanence, microdermals are FAR easier to heal compared to surface piercings and placement possibilities are practically endless. You can even make them looks like real clavicle piercings (as in under the bone), if that's what you're going for.

  3. I would go for the microdermal.  Healing time is really really fast. I have 8 so for.  Five on my chest, One on my cheek and two on the back of my neck.  Its really a matter of what you want tho.  If you want to see what mine look like email me and I will give you my myspace and you can look at what they all look like.  Happy Piercing!
