what is Surface area of the square x^2+y^2+z^2+2x-4y+8z-2=0?

  1. (x+1)^2  + (y-2)^2 + (z+4)^2 = 2 + 1 + 4 + 16 = 23

    This is a sphere of radius sqrt(23).  Its surface area is 4Pi(23) = 92Pi.

    Why do you call it a "square"?
