Surface mold on drywall?

How do I clean this off, what are the best ways?

  1. You're not gona want to hear this, but that drywall needs to come out. Luckilly drywall is not terribly expensive. If you are seeing mold on the wall it is all the way through to the back of it and squirting some bleach on top of it is not going to thoroughly remove it. Mold can make you sick if you are exposed to it over an extended period of time. Don't risk it.

  2. 50/50 mix bleach and water. Spray on and let sit (don't saturate it though). The mold should disappear. Then wipe clean. If it does not, then reapply, lightly scrub and wipe clean.

  3. Use bleach diluted with water.  Then wash with soapy water.  Then dry the area with towels, open the window and place a fan nearby to circulate the air.  Don't soak the area as this will damage the drywall.  The mold will only be on the surface.

  4. any cleaning product with bleach in it will work.
