Surface mounted radiator pipes?

Question

my radiator pipes in the living room and hall are surface mounted we had to box out skirting to cover them which looks awful.

my question is how much work would it entail to chase them in to walls and what sort of Price would i be looking at?

at a guess there is around 12 metres of pipe that would need moved.

also how long would it take?

Alittle more info would be nice.Are we talking about copper pipes?Is this a first floor thing?

  Either way its going to be a fairly involved project that requires some special skills.That being said its not outside the range of the DIYer.
