Surfboard Height and size

Question

hey everyone. I'm out to buy a new (short board). but i don't know what size. i want a board that is very maneuverable for my height. I'm 5'5 now so would buying a 5'8 board be ok? does anyone know of a ratio for the height of your board compared to you?

I don't know where you surf, how good you are or how much you weigh (it doesn't really matter how tall you are - I'm 5'10"/215 so I need more foam to float). Don't waste your time on line, go to a good local surf shop, where surfers who ride the same breaks that you do can help you pick the right board for your size, skill and local conditions.

I have been surfing since 1966, and i take my questions to the industry professionals at local shops where I surf.

I have no idea but I need to know for myself if you find out please can you let me know [e-mail] I'm 5'7'' so it will be dif but you know the ratio stuff etc would be handy

depends on how good u are :)

i started out with my older bros 6'0 when i was about 7 and now im riding a 5'1. im 5'3 but its easy to surf on it because i've been surfing for a while. u should borrow a friends or rent one to try out the sizes.
