  1. That board is beat. Those dark spots on the bottom are probably patches of rot, because it looks like it has been taking on water. I'm sure there is delamination.

Now, I do agree with Surfammo, if you are into building your own stick, you can skin it, and use the foam as a blank. Although I bet there are lots of places with rotted foam that you would have to cut out and fill. There are a couple ways to do that. But that wasn't your question, was it?

If somebody down the street from me had it, I'd buy it and play with it (refurbing), but I wouldn't even pay the shipping for it otherwise.

I have been surfing since '66, and had lots of boards. I've bought and sold a few. That one is not worth it.

  2. That thing is pretty haggard! Look elsewhere for a little better board. You can clean wax off by letting the board sit in the sun to melt a little and then scrape off w/a wax comb or credit card. But this board has bigger issues.

  3. Sorry D, it's more than wax. That's a beater board that's been abused. The wax is probably hiding some more problems. It's also from the 1980's, pretty old board. You'd have to skin it and refiberglass it to 'clean it up'. It's not worth it. Keep looking mate.

  4. go to a local surf shop and buy "sticky bumps wax remover"

it cleans up a lot of things

  5. dang that board is beat up

is it really only 99 cents ?  the board sort of looks like its got some water in it theirs not too much u can do to fix that but...

u see that ding on the botttom of the board by the fins i guess u could re fill it ?

if i were u i would get the wax of with a credit card no knife that'll scratch it more..... mmmm deffintallly spray paint it but u gotta buy lots of supplies for the paint to stay on

i'd just get a better board  ! least buy one for 10 bucks
