  1. The one and only best answer is....... GO TO A SURF SHOP. The people there surf the local breaks, and can steer you to the right stick for those breaks, and match your skill level and body size. People ON LINE CAN'T DO THAT!!!!! If you really want to work at ordering a custom board, the folks in the local shops know the local shapers. I own three (3) boards made by a great NC local shaper, Will ALLISON. But there are lts of others, that you WON"T FIND on line.

  2. my 5'11 T. Patterson. =)

  3. can't go wrong with channel island's. they are kinda expensive i guess, if you are a good surfer get a good board. if you are an intermediate surfer thanget one or two from craigslist for cheap. for example yesterday in my area i say two custom shaped board $200 for  both and they came with leashs. they good deals happen like once a week and you gatta jump on them.

what ever chris K, i don't care about little s***s like you. you come on yahoo and rip on evry one. what the h**l, we are here to write answers not to be a d!ck!

  4. I agree with what's his name- Craig's list?

You give no data on yourself so i would suggest buying a soft board, that way you won't kill yourself or hurt others when you let your board go. Nothing wrong with just surfing occasionally, just be mindful of others and don't get in the way of the other surfers. Also pick spots that are geared for beginners, maybe The Wedge or W&S or the Barrio, we wouldn't want you to get hurt.

  5. Seriously, craigslist?

Anna E, do you even know how to surf, let alone on a 5'11 T. Patterson? Because looking at some of your answers, I doubt you've ever done anything more than take a surfing lesson once while on a vacation. Same with you pro surf.

  6. robert august designs the best boards in the world....ive been surfing his boards since the 70's!! and i lived behind his shop...killer days for sure!!
