besides surfing..i live over 100 miles inland. I swim and that tones me, but I am looking for alternate ways when I don't have the convenience of the ocean or a pool.

  1. We have lots of flat days here so in the summer its pretty much either riding my bike or my longboard skateboard.  I also play soccer in an adult league.  In the winter I go to the gym for cardio 2x a week and play indoor soccer.  Nothing specifically for surfing but any exercise helps.

  2. surfing and cycling

  3. when i cannot surf I skateboard, i ride my bicycle everywhere to and from work(i dont own a vehicle). =]

  4. Besides running, body weight exercises and yoga help a lot. Push-ups, crunches, squats, all using body weight only helps so much.

A sport a day keeps your body's metabolism going.

And don't forget that whatever you put into your body is what comes out... eating right is ultimately what decides how much fat is stored on your body.  Lean meats, fruits, veggies, whole wheat bread if you must, and lots and lots of water. No soda or candy.  Limit drinking alcohol to a minimum.

Don't eat in huge portions, smaller meals every couple of hours is great, and speeds up your metabolism even more.

  5. i do boxing training and bike riding plus you burn **** loads of calories when surfs big because there's alot more water moving around. word out....

  6. Swimming is the best.

  7. hmm... I run, thats helpful and do about 400 crunches a night.  Also you can do other things such as skateboarding as mentioned earlier and you could just try longboard skateboarding.  This is almost exactly like surfing just without the possibility of arials and snap turns.  You just need to turn back and forth on gravity board for about an hour.

    Hope this helps.

  8. you can snowboard!!! stakeboard.. run.. workout everynight..

i swam for 15 years and it was the best years of my life.. i kept working out after i stoped swimming but it wasnt the same. but run, get into boxing..

there are sooooooo many stuff you can do, all depends how bad you want it, and how much u wanna suffer thru it to get it.. so i ask you??

How bad do you really want it??
