  1. if never surfed get lessions honestly really helps they start you off on a foam board which anyone can ride then when you think you got the nack move onto a longboard but don't make mystake my fraind made by starting with a 5,10" shortboard took her longer to get the hang off.

    have fun :D

  2. lie on your stomach on the ground, push yourself up to a standing position, and keep a low balance. Now do the same in the water on a small wave and walla..you are surfing

  3. i reccomend all answers already said- longboard and stuff but you might also want to buy an indo board it is a traing balance board that imitates the feeling of surfing it will be great practice- get the original -i reccomend the push up excersise on this board-got to this website for more info and to buy-http://www.indoboard.com/index.php

  4. longboard

    it will be better.

  5. do push ups and ab crunches every day to prepare.

  6. Well if you've never been surfing before, i would suggest you start with a long board..No shorter than a 7footer.

The shorter the board is the more work for starters...So start with that first..Maybe even start with the foam boards just in case theres a wave that knocks you down and that way if the board lands on you or hurts you in any way, the board will be a little more softer...Start with the little waves first close to shore...You dont want to get too deep because the waves might be bigger, it all depends...Make sure you know how to swim very well...Even pros have died from surfing...

But all in all, you'll fall many times at first, but you'll get the hang of it! We all start from the bottom...Have fun...Oh and yeah practice a little in the grass, put your board on the floor, act like you're peddling, and try your propping up in to your stance position...

If you've skated before(skateboard) it should be a little more easy;)

    have fun;)
