I surfed when I lived in Cali for years and I could careless. As long as they werent trying to pretend that they did surf. But just liking the style of clothing and wearing it for that reason I didnt care. All the surfers I know are way too laid back to even care.

I don't really care that much I might tease them in a playful way  if I know them but i usually wont care that much.

no surf wear is the coolest stuff now. (board short) you can't expect people to not wear them. plus most people that wake board wear surf clothes. (billabong, reef, O'Neill...)

No. In fact I highly encourage everyone to buy clothes from the local surf shops. The clothes are WAAAY more profitable than the surfing equipment. In fact most shops lose money on boards and equipment. It's the clothing that pays the rent. If these shops didn't sell t-shirts and board shorts to 'posers' I'd have nowhere to buy a leash or wetsuit.
