Question:

Surfers will you answer please?

okay- say your going for a wave, but you catch it at the wrong moment so the tip of your board pearls as your getting pushed forward so your actually getting pushed under and your board flips out from behind you. how do you prevent this?

any cool tricks or anything??

  1. You are also probably trying to get on the wave too late.  Paddle earlier so you are already up when the wave starts to wall up.


  2. lean back on the board and dont let the nose hit the water.

  3. You're taking off to late, paddle into it sooner.

    If you do find yourself taking off late, put all

    your weight on your back foot, and keep the

    nose up. Sometimes easy'er said than done,

    then, over the falls you go.

  4. Yea, weight to the back of the board. Tip... knees should be at the back line of your board on approach ( if your board is sized right). Hang 10!

  5. Angle paddle. When you are stroking into the wave, instead of going straight in paddle in the direction you are going to go. Also, get to your feet quickly. It should be one fluid move getting up and turn a little more once you're on your feet.
