I've been surfing 6 years now and I keep breaking my board. I've been getting better and better at tricks and I've become much more agressive. The board I have right now is made with fiberglassed on fins and the center back fin keeps breaking. It happens after an agressive floater or a cutback usually. I've been thinking about instead of using a shortboard for now on I was gonna move onto a retro-fish, about 5'8-6'1, probobly a quad fin for speed. So, I have a few questions in this one, I was wondering if a quad fin actually speeds up the board and if it will affect my capabilities for tricks also, I've tried one of these boards before in the HB, California. I was wondering if it would work as well in the east coast. Also, I was wondering if there would be any reprocussions on my tricks, I do floaters/cutbacks/barrels (when I see them), and I don't do aerials (I don't like them very much). Thanks yall, just tell me if a retro fish would be good for me... Thanks!
