Question:

Surfing (no money for a school!)?

Okay, well I tried surfing twice, I was okay at it but not very experienced. I would love to get better at it. I live in the South West (UK) and I am a teen. I don't have that much money for a board, and I don't have that much money for a school. I do have my own wetsuit though.

I can only do the most basic of the basic. I would love to improve. Any tips please?

Thanks a million to those that answer ten points for the best x

  1. u can  ke money like this guy shwagner buy fundraiseing if u go to church or something, umm get a board off consinement, or just ask to borrow one wen ur at the beach ur a girl they let u borrow one, hey shwagner mde 220 mil from fundraising over a couple years

  2. well the only way to improve is to practice A LOT. because you don't have much money you should rent a board not buy one, and that will actually not be that expensive. you can keep it for a full day and it should only cost you about 20 buck. good luck practicing!

  3. The cheapest things you can do on your own are read how to get better and get a cheap used skateboard.  Look at some of the listings in the surf library as they can offer you some advice.  You might also want to read the chapters on learning to surf and judging in my on-line surf book.

  4. Like anything it takes practice. The more you do it the better you'll get. Trial and error is the best way to learn and think how great you'll feel when you finally master it!

  5. I would look for a cheap board on ebay or something and start reading everything that you can about surfing, the ocean and weather and learn how the whole process comes together
