I am aware 10ft waves is well over what it should be for a beginner but if I didn't go in them I wouldn't get to go for another 3 weeks (now you understand why I took them on right?) By the way I loved getting wiped out tee hee

  1. i think you should quit b/c there are already enough people who surf

  2. LOL i did the same thing about 4 years ago. I went out surfing (while I was still a beginner) during one of the hurricanes. I honestly can't remember which hurricane it was, but it was in Florida.

Ok, yea you should start out with 3-4 foot waves (at least until you stand up)

They do have pills you can take to prevent sea sickness.

  3. Where do you live? You're lucky to be alive surfing in 10ft. waves your first time out?!!? Start on a longboard 9-10ft. in small to medium surf.  Ive surfed for a while and dont go out in 10 ft. surf!

  4. Hey, leaning to surf is hard and takes time at least 3 to 6 times and a few lessions, Trying to learn in 10 foot waves is not a good way to start. start off in 3 to 5 foot waves and just keep at it. I may take you a few trips before you can stand up. Don,t get put off , try trying and you will love it.

As for being sea sick I have never experienced this but 10 foot waves and lack of ocean experience  may have caused this.

The best way to learn to surf is on a  long board and small waves.

  5. I am a newbie and I am learning in like 3 ft waves haha

10 ft? i dont think someone learning should try that yet

  6. i dont get how you got sick

  7. Try a beach with smaller waves 1-3 foot. Make sure you are learning on a longboard

  8. ya its normal cause its your first lesson

  9. i surf too....to start out with ten foot waves as a beginner is too soon u should start out with some baby waves and then progress on to a 10ft. and with the whole seasick thing u might feel like that b/c u've never surfed before but it'll probably eventually go away once u get used to bein out there...oh and you might want to skateboard when ur not in the water to improve u balance, it helps out alot.

  10. In surf that big, you most likely swallowed salt water. We all do to some extent, but an hour and a half of wiping out, you probably ingested more than enough to make you sick. Just be more conscious about keeping your mouth closed.

  11. I dont think you can really prevent it when you're in 10ft waves lol. But maybe you could try sea sickness tablets?

    xx

  12. u should just start on some smaller waves. and dont get down on yourself u will get it soon.

  13. don't swallow a crapload of water and try 2 ft waves

    tee hee
