1. haha well maybe stop falling so much.

  2. Well, if you're throwing up from swallowing salt water, then you must be swallowing a lot of it. Being in the ocean pretty much my whole life, I've only thrown up once, and that was after a pretty heavy hold-down. So maybe it'd be best to stop taking large gulps while you're in the lineup. I honestly can't figure out how you're taking in that much sea water to make you throw up.

  3. dont drink so much

  4. First of all, you're not throwing up from the taste, you're throwing up because your body is rejecting the salt water.

Swallowing water on a wipe-out is pretty much the beginning of drowning. You can also get seriously ill from swallowing contaminated seawater.

I'm gonna have to agree with John on this one. If you don't have the skills to keep from SWALLOWING (not shallowing) too much seawater, you shouldn't be out there ...you're gonna get yourself hurt or worse.

  5. Surfing is an ocean sport, to do it right, you have to be at home in the ocean, with its currents, rips, undertows and sometimes big waves. I don't just mean being good at swimming in a pool, the ocean can be very unforgiving. I have seen lots of really good pool swimmers have to get rescued.

I don't know how long you have been surfing, or where you have been surfing, but obviously, you are not well enough at home in the water if you are swallowing sea water. I have been surfing for 42 years, and I have washed around in some big s&%t, and I rarely swallow water, not to say that it doesn't happen, but not enough to make me sick.
