Surgery last Thursday, tooth bleeding now??

Question

I've had applesauce almost every meal since Thurday but today we ran out, so I had chopped pineapple and my tooth started hurting. When I brushed it, it started bleeding on each side of the tooth where I could see it..

IS IT INFECTED???

I haven't brushed my teeth since Thursday because my mouth HURT so BAD.

No it's normal, just wash your mouth out with a bit of salt mixed with water, and chew slowly and carefully

the dentists office where you had work done will need to see you,to determine what is going on, and probably asap in case it is infected, you really want to stop that quickly. but bleeding in itself is not a definite sign of infection, more likely it just hasnt healed completely. at least call your dentists office, instead of waiting for answers here on yahoo, there are alot of well meaning and smart people here, but only the dentists office can help you with this one.
