Question:

Surgery or extraction?

I went to the orthodontist not to long ago and he said I had a medium overbite. So, he gave me two choices. The first was surgery on my lower jaw. The second was to get two of my teeth extracted. I don't want either of them so I need some of your advice on which one hurts more or what would happen. They both work the same so it really doesn't matter which one. Thanks for the help.

  1. Jaw surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

  2. i'd advise you to opt for the extractions you'll heal much quicker from the extractions  plus the surgery would have more complications and risk factors to consider compaired to the extraction.

best of luck with whichever procedure you choice dont be worrying you'll be fine

  3. just extract the teeth, surgery of the lower jaw is more complicated it will take longer and more painful than some extractions. Sometimes they even brake the jaw w/ the surgeries.

  4. extract the teeth i have had 4 done when i got my braces the thing that hurt most was the injection
