Question:

Surprise fifth test on the ACT?

I took the ACT today and there was, defying all reason, logic, and devoid of all human compassion, a fifth test, a second math test! There were 16 questions to be done in 20 minutes. I have a theory that they are just testing possible questions for future math tests, but the fact remains that I am horrible in math, and this test could possibly bring down what could have been a higher score for me. Is this test a real test?

  1. I'm going to assume that this test is just helping the educators formulate new math questions.  I don't think they could add a fifth section of math to the ACT and score it since every student doesn't have that extra math section too. I really wouldn't worry about it. It's best to forget about the whole thing untill you get your test score back. You will then know exactly what the extra section was for and if it was factored into your test score. Good luck!

  2. You'll never get into college.

  3. I took the ACT today too. And no this doesn't count towards your score. My 5th test was a science one. It's for developmental purposes only for future tests.
