Earlier, it was believed that Bracigliano would replace the Frenchman. However, after some truly horrific displays, Didier Deschamps has chosen to put his faith in Brazilian goalkeeper Elinton Andrade.

Though many people are surprised with the decision, the 32-year-old custodian says that he was not surprised at all.
“This is a surprise to many people, not for me! I was sent to oblivion, I was all alone with God. But I continued to work hard to be ready when the opportunity arose. For me, this is the only reward of my work.”
Andrade feels that it was fate that saw Deschamps favour him ahead of Bracigliano.
“I’ll be super quiet. I’m ready, I’m working like crazy for that. I am not one of those players who sit on the bench, saying that it is the fault of the coach and hope that their competitor is going to get hurt or have a bad game.”
The Brazilian then added that he has been working crazily over the past couple of days in order to make sure that he helps Marseille see off a side as mighty as Bayern Munich.
In recent weeks, the Bavarians have been scoring goals for fun and the custodian knows that he needs to be on top of his game if he is to give his side a chance of playing in the semifinals.
It is common knowledge that the Brazilian was friends with Lucho Gonzalez and Heinze (who has now retired). However, the 32-year-old has said that he has good relations with everyone at the club and that he also gets along fine with Steve Mandanda.
