  1. Which company is the policy with?

You can get a Surrender value by ringing them up, ask for a copy of the policy document if you dont have it, it will be about £6. You will need the policy document to sell it on to a 3rd party.

There are 3rd party company's who buy them but the price is often not alot more than you giving it back to the company you bought it.

  2. Hi,you need to think long & heard. There is always companies in the papers wanting to buy endowments.

  3. a company called AAP. will buy your endowment policy and you will get a lot more than if you surrender it.

  4. The best thing is not to 'surrender' your plan which means that you basically encash it by surrendering your policy document to the insurance company.

You may get a better price by 'trading' your policy - this means finding someone else to continue with the premiums in exchange for a price now - this should be higher than the surrender value.

Try Google under Traded Endowment policies.

  5. Before you do such a thing, you'd be better off talking things through with a Financial Advisor.

People on Yahoo! Answers aren't going to be able to give you the information you require - and the sale of such a policy is a specialized business.
