Surrey’s start was not what the team had expected at the toss, as a couple of wickets fell early. Hamilton-Brown was the first man to be dismissed in the innings after adding just 1 run to the total.
Wicketkeeper batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SM-Davies-c2542 was also unable to make most of the good conditions and was sent back to the pavilion after collecting 10 runs off 12 balls with the help of one four.

Both batsmen complemented each other nicely, as Roy attacked from one end whereas Maynard rotated strike from the other. The latter was unable to carry onto the start he got to his innings, getting dismissed for 33 runs off 41 balls. He struck two fours
in his cameo.
South Africa’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zander-de-Bruyn-c98565 walked out in the middle and tried to give much strike as possible to his partner at the other end. However, the Proteas all-rounder was unable to last long at the crease, as he got out after contributing 17 runs to the total
from 23 deliveries.
The innings was carried forward by Matthew Spriegel and Roy, as the pair collected an 80-run stand for the fifth wicket. The latter got out eventually after scoring 131 runs off just 99 balls. His thunderous knock included 11 fours and 4 massive sixes.

Leicestershire’s Wayne White picked up a couple of wickets in the match, but conceded plenty of runs.
