Surrey v Leicestershire: County Championship Division Two – Surrey’s First Innings

This gave a wonderful opportunity to the visitors to take a solid first innings lead in the match in order to pressurise the opposition. They played well and collected 343 runs in their outing, gaining a lead of 176 runs.

South Africa’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zander-de-Bruyn-c98565 walked out to join his side’s opener and the pair batted decently, guiding their team into a good position. They put together 65 runs for the third wicket stand before the Proteas player was sent back to the pavilion.
De Bruyn would have been disappointed by not being able to capitalise on the start he got to his innings. He scored 31 runs with the help of five boundaries.
The next batsman to be dismissed in the innings was Tom Maynard, who managed just 10 runs in his short stay at the crease.

The keeper batsman’s classy knock finally came to an end after he had collected 121 runs with the help of 18 fours. He has been performing consistently at the domestic
