Surrey v Sussex - County Championship Division One - 3rd Day's Update
Surrey 264 & 273 v Sussex 196 & 240/8 (84.3 ov) - Sussex require another 102 runs with 2 wickets remaining
Surrey resumed their second inning on the third day of the County Championship Division One match against Sussex at Kennington Oval, London, with an overnight score of 250 for the loss of eight wickets.
Surrey had a slender lead of 68 runs in their first innings and were hoping to make the most of it by amassing as many runs as they can on the penultimate day of the four-day match.
Stuart Meaker and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jon-Lewis-c1726 came out to face the early music from Sussex bowlers, who were aiming to dislodge the batsmen as quickly as possible.
Meaker and Lewis, instead of fending off the deliveries, came out attacking. The two batters knew that by defending they would only mount pressure on themselves, for the very reason they opted to play aggressively and added another
17 runs to the overnight stand.

his side had stumbled to 240 for the loss of eight wickets.
Sussex requires another 102 runs to pull off a remarkable win, and Wells will have to be the protagonist if they are to accomplish such a feat.
