Surrogate baby stuck in India?

What do you think of this story? I think the father should be able to prove paternity and take his baby home...why should he have to adopt her if he paid for a surrogate to concieve her and it is his biological child?

Yes, I agree. He is the father so he should take her home. The reason they cite is that he is single (divorced), but I don't think it should change anything because he paid and is willing to be a father. I hope its all cleared soon, and they will be together. Another thing that bothers me is the ex-wife. After reading the story, I got the feeling like the baby was just another accesory for her to play with, and now that she was divorced she wanted to return it; like a dress that didn't fit.
