Surround Sound Speakers Problem?

I have a speaker problem with my speakers, well its not exactly a problem since i know what's wrong but am puzzled of what to do next...

You know those three speaker cords you use to divide the sound....

Rear, Front, and Center....

ususally green, black, and brown

my computer only has once socket, the green one, beside them is the voice socket and the recording socket.... hopefully you know what I mean

So I was wondering what actions I should take, so i can fully use my sound?

I mean is there some kind of special divider to deal with these kinds of problems, do i need to upgrade to a better sound card, or do i need a whole new computer entirely?

  1. You have surround speakers, but only a stereo sound card. You can upgrade your sound card to surround for under $50.

These guys make decent equipment and you can grab it at your local Radio Shack: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index....

  2. ok umm there may be a way for you to do it now

call your sound card's manufacturer, or even your computer's manufacturer and ask if you can set your sound properties to change what the input and outputs do, because on my sound card it lets me do this and although there are only 3 outputs i connect my front to one  and my subwoofer to another...

or you could upgrade the sound card.
