Surround Sound questions please help!?!?!?

Does this surround sound system require a DVD player to work??? or can i hook it up to my TV? or can i buy some sort of wire to make it plug in to a headphone jack if so what would that be called???

  1. You will need to hook it up to a reciever and then get speaker wire to connect the speakers to the reciever.  Then you can hook up your tv, dvd etc to the reciever.


  2. What the other guy said... OBVIOUSLY -- but unless you have a source that is playing in surround (Dolby) and is decoded -- all you really get is many speaker sterio.   So that DVD player -- it is decoding the signal recorded on the disk for you... or that satalite dish program "Broadcast in Dolby Digital Surround" -- it has all the channels... so yeah you gotta have the equipment -- but also the signal source.
