  1. YOU NEED TO USE AN INPUT THAT HAS THE YELLOW(VIDEO) RCA JACK.SEPERATE IT FROM THE TV AND PUT IT ON ITS OWN.

  2. The problem would be that your surround is connected to your cable box. You need to connect it to your tv's audio out (if it has one) or directly to the xbox.

  3. You need to change the input on the receiver to the input that coencides with input that the xbox is connected to.

So basically here's how it should be connected:

Output from xbox into input x on AV receiver.

Output from AV receiver to television.

You need to select the input on the TV that the AV receiver's output is connected to.

One last thing.  The xbox requires input1 when you are going directly from the xbox to the tele, but if you are running from the AV receiver to the TV, the AV receiver is what determines which output to select, and the tele will always remain on that input.

So for instance, if you are running the xbox through the game input, and the output from the AV receiver is going to input 1, then the AV receiver selection should be "Game" and the input selection should be "1".

    Hope this helps!
