Surround Sound system-the DB are going up when you turn it down& when you turn it up, the DB are going down?

Its Kenwood, CD surround System with Panasonic DVD & video player.

How can we fix this?

  1. It actually is.  The numbers have a negative in front.  Almost all receivers volume is measured in this way.  from a -70 or so to about +15.  0 is generally maximum non clipping or distorted volume....generally.  SO mathematically it is going in the correct order.
