Surround sound for my sony MHC-GX450 stereo.?

Question

I connected the yellow, white and red cords from my stereo to my tv but there is no AUX button. Im guessing you press the button GAME but nothing happens. Can someone please tell me how i get surround sound with that stereo.

to get audio from a TV to a stereo or surround reciever

you take the AUDIO OUTPUT from the monitor jacks

to a valid input on the Stereo or surround reciever

yellow is video and not needed

very unlikely the monitor output of any TV will deliver surround

sound

Surround requires a digital source through Either a coax or optic cable for true surround sound. Some TVs produce a virtual surround but it's not much more than basic stereo.
